Ronald G. Pickens, 72, of South Bend passed away Friday, April 17, 2020 at Memorial Hospital. He was born March 17, 1948 in South Bend to Ralph Pickens and Willadene McQueen.
Surviving are his sons, Jesse (Amy) Pickens, Ronald (Staci) Pickens, Jr., and Keith Oxley; mother, Willadene McQueen; several grandchildren; and sister, Tammy Pickens. Ronald is preceded by his father, Ralph Pickens; and brothers, Reginald Pickens, Joe Pickens, and John Pickens.
Ronald proudly served in the United States Army and worked as a small engine mechanic. He was an avid Chicago Bears fan and enjoyed spending time with his family watching UFC fights.
A private graveside service with military honors will take place at Riverview Cemetery in South Bend. Palmer Funeral Home-Hickey Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
