Cora Evelyn "Toots" Papczynski, 80, of Linden Road, Lakeville, Ind., passed away after a lengthy illness at 7:40 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, in Hospice House.

She was born Aug. 22, 1923, in southern Indiana, to John and Emma (Riggin) Brock, who preceded her in death.

On Sept. 4, 1971, in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, South Bend, Ind., she married Edward E. Papczynski, who survives. Along with her husband, Edward of Lakeville, she is survived by a brother, John Brock of Hesperia, Mich., numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Papczynski was the youngest of 12 children, 10 of whom have preceded her in death.

Cora was in the Women's Army Corps during World War II. She was employed for many years at Studebaker Corporation and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Mrs. Papczynski attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was a kind, loving person who will be greatly missed by all.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 19, in the Palmer Funeral Home, 314 S. Michigan St., Lakeville, IN 46536. Rev. Thomas King, pastor of Sacred Heart Church, will officiate. She will be laid to rest at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend, next to her beloved mother. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, March 18, in the funeral home.
