James Francis Rhode

SOUTH BEND - James F. Rhode, 74, of Cripe Street, was found dead of natural causes at 11 a.m. Thursday in his residence.
Mr. Rhode worked at the former Studebaker Corp. and Goodwill Industries. He was born Sept. 29, 1921, in South Bend. On May 3, 1947, in South Bend, he married Nancy A. Drake. She died May 17, 1985.
Surviving are a son, Richard D. of Acton, Mass.; two grandsons; and two sisters, Florentine ''Pat'' Zalai and Elinor Rhode, both of South Bend. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
