SOUTH BEND - Born Margaret Jacobs on February 2, 1925, of South Bend, died
September 16, 2008, in Redondo Beach, CA, after a long bout with cancer.

She graduated from Washington Clay High School in 1943. Margaret married Leroy E.
Boggs on June 29, 1946, who preceded her in death on December 2, 1970. She retired
from the University of Notre Dame in 1990 after 36 years of service. On December 2,
1996, she became a volunteer in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center where she
served until May 2007.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Christina (Tina) Kenerson; two grandsons, Dustin and Ryan Kenerson; three great-grandsons, Cole, Kade and Cash Kenerson, all of Redondo Beach, CA; sisters, Dora Boggs of Dowagiac and Edna Radecki of Niles, MI; and a brother, Paul Jacobs of Scottsdale, AZ.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on the Notre Dame campus. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Indiana. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, in the HICKEY Funeral Homes, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN 46635. In lieu of flowers, Margaret requested memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, 535 W. Edison Ave., Mishawaka, IN 46545.
