SOUTH BENDNorma L. Hartzell, 70, of Laurel Road, died at 7:30 p.m. Monday in Health Hospital and Nursing Home.

Mrs. Hartzell was an assistant for Lois Pence on the former ''Homemakers Time'' television program on WSBT. She was born May 5, 1925, in Cass County, Mich. On Feb. 10, 1946, in South Bend, as Norma L. Keeley, she married Eugene L. Hartzell.

He survives with two sons, Craig A. of South Bend and Donn R. of Minneapolis; three grandchildren; and a brother, Larry Keeley of College Station, Texas. She was a member of Community Congregational Church, was church historian, a member of Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and Memorial Hospital volunteer since 1966.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
