Celebration of Life for Archie Emmett Webber, 81, Palmetto Street, New Smyrna Beach, who died Wednesday, June 27, 2007, at Halifax Medical Center, Daytona Beach, will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 30 at United Church of Christ, New Smyrna Beach, with the Rev. Sarah Lund officiating. Burial will be at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens, Edgewater. Gathering of friends will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Born in Kokomo, Ind., Mr. Webber, came to this area in 1954. A retired salesmen for Tom Mitchell Lumber Co., Mr. Webber was previously the owner of the A & W Root Beer Drive-In. He attended the United Church of Christ and participated and watched men's softball leagues. Mr. Webber enjoyed golf, bowling, basketball, and cards.

He served in the U. S. Marine Corps in Japan and Hawaii and was an Iwo Jima survivor.

Mr. Webber is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jean; two sons, James (Jackie), Edgewater, and Terry, of New Smyrna Beach; daughter, Laurie and her husband, Paul Watson, of Melbourne; two grandsons, Jeremy and Michael; two brothers, Charles, of South Bend, Ind., James, Granger, Ind.; and a sister, Evelyn Warwick, Peru, Ind..

Donations may be made in Mr. Webber's memory to The United Church of Christ Building Fund, 203 Washington Street, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168.
