In 1973, the family moved from Mississippi to South Bend, Indiana where she grew up. She attended the South Bend Public Schools and graduated from Clay High School. Tracey enjoyed “Life”. She “Loved” the Lord and “Loved” her family. Seeking out a church home, the family united with Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor F.D. Johnson. After reaching adulthood, she relocated to Marietta, Georgia.

As her journey began, she met and married Daryl Grant, attended Cosmetology School, and became a Licensed Beautician, owning her own business. She received her Master's and Bachelor's degrees as time allowed. She recommitted her life to the Lord, became a faithful member of Turner Chapel A.M.E. Church under the leadership of Reverend Kenneth Marcus. Through much training, prayer, and preparation, she acknowledged the call from God in her life and was faithful to her calling to the end. She was the youngest of her siblings.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Evangelist Earnestine Jones; four brothers, Mr. James (Carrie) Bridgeman of South Bend, Indiana, Pastor Tommy (Paula) Bridgeman of Marietta, Georgia, Mr. Terry Bridgeman of Houston, Texas and Rodney Bridgeman of Chicago, Illinois; two sisters: Roshanda (Malcom) Macon of Canton, Mississippi and Latana (Jeff) Watson of  South Bend, Indiana; seven nephews; four nieces; eight uncles; eight aunts; a dear cousin, Kenneth Hilton, along with many other relatives, great-nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
