MISHAWAKA, IN - Kathleen Kelsheimer, age 69 of Mishawaka, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the Hospice House of St. Joseph County. Kathy was born April 18, 1947 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late George E. and Geneva Pauline (Oglesby) Kelsheimer.
Surviving are her siblings Kevin (Rose) Kelsheimer of Edwardsburg, Michigan and Karla (Hiram) Smith of Sonora, Kentucky. Kathy is also survived by twelve nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Joyce Ann Nelson.
A celebration of her life was held at 5:30 pm Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Northway Church of Christ, 19525 Auten Road, South Bend, Indiana 46637. Pastor Chuck Wotring officiated, and Elkhart Cremation Service assisted with arrangements.
Kathy was a longtime and dedicated member at Northway Church of Christ, and enjoyed spending time volunteering at West Woods of Niles Nursing Center, and the Heston Steam Museum in LaPorte, Indiana.
The family’s preferred memorials go to the Center for Hospice or Northway Church of Christ.
