SOUTH BEND - Roberta K. Bauer, 49, of Rue Montesque, died at 1:40 a.m. Sunday in St. Joseph's Medical Center after an illness. Mrs. Bauer worked for McGladry & Pullen for more than 20 years. She was born Feb. 8, 1947, in Fort Wayne and lived in South Bend most of her life. On Feb. 14, 1980, in South Bend, as Roberta K. Massi, she married Frederick C. Bauer. He survives with a son, James R. of South Bend; a stepdaughter, Lisa Allen of Gloucester, Va.; two stepsons, Michael Ronchetti of South Bend and Jeffrey Bauer of Cochran, Ga.; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and a sister, Gerri Massi of Fort Wayne.
She was a graduate of Clay High School and attended Indiana University, Bloomington, and was a member of St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the church. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson Blvd. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc.
