David E. Sweet

INDIANAPOLIS - David Sweet of Indianapolis, IN passed away from complications due to heart surgery on February 24, 2016.
David was born to Katherine [Bishop] and Eugene Sweet on January 3, 1947 at St. Joseph Hospital in South Bend and graduated from Clay High School. He was a proud Army Vet and retired from Thomas J. Lipton in 1993, having spent 25 years as both a salesman and unit sales manager.
He married JoAnn [Bybee] on June 19, 1966 and later Cheryl [Ferele] on July 1, 1988. He is preceded by both of his parents and his brother, Philip Sweet.
Survivors include son, David Sweet Jr. and wife, Jennifer [Alstott] and daughter, Dawn [Sweet] Schoen and husband, Brian Schoen; and grandchildren, Taylor, Ethan, and Emma Sweet and Joshua, Megan, and Sarah Schoen. His beloved doggie baby, Katie, also survives.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to either the Humane Society of Indianapolis or Crestview Animal Hospital of Indianapolis in both David's and Katie's name.
