Myra Lucille Wraight  Harrah

Feb. 25, 1947 - Jun. 16, 1996

Myra L. Wraight Harrah, 49, of San Pedro Sula, Honduras, and formerly of Terre Haute died at 8 a.m. Sunday, June 16, in San Pedro Sula.

She had been living and working as a medical missionary nurse in Honduras since November 1994.

Her husband, Charles R. Harrah Jr., preceded her in death on Aug. 4, 1982.

Survivors include two sons, James Harrah, 20, and Tim Harrah, 24, both of Terre Haute; her mother, Mary Wheeler Wraight of South Bend; and one brother, Donald E. Wraight of South Bend.

She was an active member of Maplewood Christian Church. Throughout her life she had been involved with various community activities including Vigo County Lifeline, gifted and talented education, Hospice, Lioness Club and Order of Eastern Star. Missionary work was a lifelong goal and she had realized this in operating a medical clinic in Penitas Arriba, a small mountain community in northern Honduras.

Services are 10 a.m. Saturday in Maplewood Christian Church, Terre Haute, Ind., with Dr. Robert Reeves officiating. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th St., Terre Haute.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Fellowship of Associates of Medical Evangelism (FAME), P. O. Box 688, Columbus, Ind. 47202.
