Richard Monroe Clauser

Richard Monroe Clauser, 90 of South Bend, IN passed away August 25, 2021 at Owen Family Health Campus in Spencer, IN.

Richard was born September 1, 1930 in Spencerville, IN to the late Warren Elmer Clauser Sr and Eva June (Watt) Clauser and moved to the Michiana area in 1938, coming from Fort Wayne.

On January 17, 1953 in South Bend, he was united in marriage to Marilyn Elizabeth Loy, who has preceded him in death. Richard is survived by his daughters, Joy Ann (Gus) Longo of Clearwater, FL AND Sandra (Gary) Clark of Spencer, IN; son, Jeffrey (Kristin) Clauser of Grabill, IN; Brother, Robert (Virginia) Clauser of Fort Wayne; four grandchildren, Christine Bednarek, Jennifer (Johnathan) Fernandez, Katherine Clauser and Matthew (Emily) Clauser and three great-grandchildren. Richard was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.

Richard was employed at South Bend Supply Company for 45 years before retiring as President. Richard also volunteered at Grace United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 12:00pm at the Palmer Funeral Home – Welsheimer Chapel 521 N. William Street, South Bend, IN 46616. Friends may gather with the family from 10:00 am until the time of service Saturday. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
