Edward H. Richmond, 91 years old, passed away on Sunday morning, August 16, 2020 at his home in Oshkosh, WI. Mr. Richmond was born on June 14, 1929 in Moundsville, WV to the late William and Rachel (Minor) Richmond. He has lived most of his life in South Bend. On August 8, 1953 in South Bend, Edward and Karma A. Kuemmerle were united in marriage. His wife, Karma, preceded him in death on March 6, 2019 after 65 years of marriage. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Scott Richmond; son-in-law, Lewis Spates; and six brothers and sisters.
Mr. Richmond is survived by his three children, Judith Spates of Danvers, MA, Carol (Fiance, Jim Luther) Richmond of Oshkosh, WI and Steven (Anne) Richmond of South Bend; three grandchildren, Laura (Brent) Hartsell, Katlynn Williquette, and Amy Williquette; and three great grandchildren, Anna, Emily and Owen Hartsell.
A private graveside service will be held at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, IN. Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, South Bend is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Edward H. Richmond may be donated to Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Unit 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
