ELKHART- Richard L. Walker, 83, of Elkhart, passed away on Friday March 11, 2016 at Wakarusa-Millers Merry Manor. He was born Sept. 13, 1932 in Mishawaka to the late Lewis & Eleanor (Johnson) Walker.

On Feb. 15, 1974 in Elkhart he married Wanda A. (Kindig) Davis. She survives along with three daughters, Diane (Jim) Marks of Goshen, Nadine (Neil) Albert of Middlebury, Nancy Drew of Bristol; two sons, Tim Walker of Phoenix, AZ, John (Sherrie) Walker of Ft. Wayne, IN; three step-sons, Richard Davis of Florida, Dan (Linda) Davis of Jones, MI, Mitchell (Deborah) Davis of Jimtown, IN; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; ten step grandchildren; fourteen step great-grandchildren and a brother, Ronald (Sandra) Walker of Ellenton, FL.

Richard graduated in 1950 from Washington Clay High School in South Bend. He attended the Zion Missionary Church, enjoyed fishing and loved his cat "Baby". Richard retired as a maintenance man. He also worked for the Elkhart County Sheriff's Dept for six years and was a 30 year member of the Baugo Fire Dept. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday March 15, 2016 at the Zimmerman-Inman Funeral Home.

Friends may visit with the family for two hours prior to the service. Pastor Joe Wenger will preside and burial will follow in Olive (East) Cemetery.
