Barbara L. (Evans) Nicholas

Barbara L. Nicholas, 74, of Marco Island, died Sunday March 12, 2000. She was a native of South Bend, Ind. Barbara lived on Marco Island since 1977 with her husband, Nick, who died February 4, 2000.

Prior to moving to Marco Island, she served as an administrative assistant to Coach Ara Paraseghian at the University of Notre Dame. Prior to that she was a secretary at the Studebaker Corporation and Mercedes Benz. Barbara was an avid bridge player with many friends in South Bend, Ind. and on Marco Island.

Mrs. Nicholas is survived by her two daughters, Linda N. Hamilton of Naples and Nancy (Michael) Esposito of River Forest, Ill. Also surviving are grandchildren, Kara (Alex) Macsuga, Loxahatchee, Fla., Nicholas (Kelley) Hamilton of Nashville, Tenn., Michelle Esposito, senior at University of Illinois, Mia Esposito, sophomore, USN ROTC Vanderbilt University and Nicholas Esposito, River Forest, Ill.; and great-grandchildren, Audrey Linn Macsuga and Stacey Chaffee.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in her name to the Ara Parseghian Medical Research Foundation, P.O. Box 7878, Notre Dame, Ind. 46556. Hodges- Josberger 261-1237
