Imogene (Lambert) Kaminsky March 31, 1925 - Aug. 16, 2014 GRANGER - Imogene (Lambert) Kaminsky, 89, of Granger, passed away early Saturday morning at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, IN.

Imogene was born in South Bend to the late Marvin Nelson Lambert and Suzanna (Dillon) Lambert on March 31, 1925. Her parents had a bakery on Edison Road at Ironwood in South Bend as well as a booth at the Farmers Market, and she worked at both family businesses while she was growing up. On November 9, 1947, at Lowell Heights United Methodist Church, she married the late Daniel Benjamin Kaminsky, Sr., who passed away on August 31, 1997. After they were married she worked with her husband on their farm in Edwards-burg, MI, and at both Singer Sewing Machines and at the Ball Band Corporation. She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church, AWANA, she was a Sunday School Teacher, and she played violin in the South Bend Symphony Orchestra.

Left to cherish her memory are three children: Daniel B. (Donita) Kaminsky of Monroe, IN, Sue Ann (James L.) Kast of Midland, MI, Dianna K. (Paul D.) Johnson of Hudsonville, MI; six grandchildren: Benjamin (Laura) Kaminsky of Commerce Twp., MI, Timothy Kaminsky of New Orleans, LA, Joshua Kast of Cincinnati, OH, David Johnson of Hudsonville and Sarah (Jonathon) Vajda of Glenside, PA; and two great-grandchildren: Isobel & Gavin Kaminsky of Commerce Twp.; as well as numerous nephews and nieces. As the youngest in her family she is the last survivor including spouses of her generation. Her siblings who predeceased her were: Clarence Lambert, Doris Lambert, Fern Labbis and Richard Lambert.

A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 pm with visitation an hour prior from noon to 1:00 pm at McGann Hay Funerals | Cremations | Gatherings, Granger Chapel 13260 SR 23, enter off Cherry Rd., 574-232-1411, with Pastor Joe Risinger officiating, Pastor of Lighthouse Baptist Church. Burial will follow at North Liberty West Cemetery, North Liberty, IN.
