She is survived by three brothers, Frank (Carol) Takace of Niles, MI, James (Cindy) Takace of White Pigeon, MI, and Dale (Verna) Takace of Osceola, IN. She also leaves to cherish her memory nine nieces and nephews, Michele (Tim) Egmer, Kathy (Mike) Cora, Elizabeth (David) Meeks, Beth Anne (Bart) Jonker, David (Meg) Takace, Adam (Kathy) Takace, Aaron (Ashley) Takace, Chris (Jamie) Takace and Angie (Tim) Gaddy. Her memory will be passed on to 15 great-nieces and nephews, and one great-great-niece and one great-great-nephew and many others as our family continues to grow.

Gloria was a 1957 graduate of Washington Clay High School and had maintained her friendship with many of her classmates (The Clay Girls). She was Queen of the Red Hats N' Ruby Slippers of Granger and a former member of the Theta Chapter of Delta Theta Chi. Gloria's passion was her family and her painting. She would paint just about anything, but her most cherished paintings will be the oils that she put to canvas for her family. Gloria's professional career was as an administrative assistant to the General Manager of the Indiana Toll Road for 15 years, Leroy Troyer of the Troyer Group for 11 years, and she retired from the law firm of Botkin and Hall after 10 years.

Gloria's family would like to thank the staff from The Sanctuary at Saint Paul's, the Center for Hospice, and her wonderful circle of friends that helped us provide the loving care that she needed during her illness. Funeral services for Gloria will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Friday in Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka, where friends will be received from 3:00 p.m. until the services at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Care Co-Pay.org, who helped with some of the cost of her cancer medications, and to the Center for Hospice.
