JOAN (JACKSON) FROHWERK 

Joan "Jody" Frohwerk Jan. 28, 1931 - May 12, 2014 SOUTH BEND - Joan "Jody" (Jackson) Frohwerk, 83, formerly of Mishawaka, IN, passed away at 2:55 PM Monday, May 12, 2014, at Healthwin Specialized Care Facility, South Bend, IN. Jody was born on January 28, 1931, in Michigan City, IN, to the late Walter and Beatrice (Newell) Jackson and has resided in this area since 1934, coming from Michigan City.

She was a 1949 graduate of Washington-Clay High School, South Bend.

On May 27, 1967 in South Bend, she was united in marriage to Raymond Frohwerk, who preceded her in death on February 14, 1986. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Jackson, and by her brother, Richard Jackson.

She worked for 30 years with Indiana Bell, retiring in 1981. Jody loved playing Bingo and going to the Casino. Jody is survived by her son, Michael Frohwerk of South Bend; two grandchildren, Shawn Jackson and Scott (Natasha) Jackson, both of Mishawaka; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert Jackson. A memorial gathering will take place at a later date.
