Monica Rose Vascil (Potasnik) - Class Of 1950 VIEW PROFILE

Monica Rose Vascil (Potasnik)

Mar. 7, 1934 - May 27, 2022

Though she grieved to leave her earthly family and friends, she happily anticipated her reunion with Ted Potasnik, her loving husband to whom she remained devoted since he passed in 2011. Undoubtedly, Monica is welcomed by her parents, Eugene and Rose Vascil, son-in-law Alvin Robinson, and those family and friends who preceded her arrival in paradise and whom we all hold so dear.

Monica was born March 7, 1934 in South Bend, Indiana. She graduated Washington Clay High School, Class of 1950. She and Ted were wed on April 7, 1956.

Throughout her life, Monica enjoyed camping, gardening, baking, knitting, sewing, quilting blankets for children in local hospitals, and working in the spiritual care office at Genesys Hospital. Monica found solace and refuge at Holy Family Catholic Church in Grand Blanc, Michigan. She was the President of the Mott High School Parent Booster Club in the late 1970's and worked in the Warren County Clerk's Office until retirement in 2005.
