Robert L Cuskaden - Class Of 1961 VIEW PROFILE

  

ROBERT L. CUSKADEN

Robert L. Cuskaden, 78, of South Bend passed away Sunday, Oct. 24, 2021, at his home. He was born July 13, 1943, in La Porte, Indiana, to Robert R. and Ruth A. (Peer) Cuskaden. On Aug. 7, 2009, he married Marilyn (Browne) Cuskaden, who survives.

In addition to his loving wife, Bob is survived by his sons, Robert D. "Bob" (Dawn) Cuskaden and Anthony "Tony" (Darsha) Cuskaden; daughters, Tammy (Ken) Ball and Michelle "Shelley" (Dan) Mumma; Tammy and Michelle's mother, Linda Betzer; stepsons, Steven (Janine) Burnett, Robert Burnett and Scott Burnett; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sisters, Ruth "Sue" Kirkland, Sandy Parker and Iona Gring. Bob is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Gene, Joe, Clifford, Richard, David and Willard Bealor.

Bob graduated from Washington Clay High School in 1961. He joined the United States Navy in 1960 and served four years, achieving the rank of Radioman 2nd class E5. He was an amateur musician and played in various local groups during the 1960s. Bob spent 23 years with AT&T and Indiana Bell Telephone before retiring. He later worked with CitiGroup before retiring from that position in 2006. Bob had numerous hobbies, including fishing, hunting, playing guitar and woodworking.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, Oct. 28, 2021, from 4-7 p.m. at Palmer Funeral Home-Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Rd., South Bend, IN, 46635. Private family services will be held with inurnment at a later date at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in South Bend.

Contributions in memory of Bob may be given to Pet Refuge, 4626 S Burnett Dr., South Bend, IN, 46614.
