MISHAWAKA, IN - Timothy Patrick Foley Sr. (“Superman”) passed away peacefully in Hospice House at the age of 62 on April 5th at 4:50am from a long fought battle with cancer. In his final days, he was surrounded by family and friends. Tim is survived by his three children, Kelli Foley, Tim (Monica) Foley, and Kevin Foley; and his four grandchildren, Madeline, Erin, Decker, and Colton. He is also survived by his loving ex-wife, Margaret Simons and incredible caretaker and friend, Julie Chavez. Tim is also survived by his triplet sisters, Kathy Woods and Mary (John) Tucker; and six other siblings, Eddy (Babs) Foley, Kevin (Cher) Foley, Debbie (Jim) White, Theresa (Phil) Rozansky, Rosemary (Chuck) Olson, and Peggy (Rodger) Carter. He will be greeted in Heaven by his parents, Edmond and Rosemary Foley; his niece and nephew, Kelly and Johnny; and sister-in-law, Cher Foley. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.

Tim graduated from Clay High School where he played baseball and hockey and received a scholarship to play baseball in college in Mississippi. He was self-employed as a carpet installer where he designed his own tool which was nearly patented. He also coached his sons in little league. The last few years of his life he helped mentor people with addiction issues at the Salvation Army. He had his struggles but he was tender with a kind soul and a big heart. He finally found peace and great friendship with Julie Chavez (his close friend and caretaker), whom he lived with the last nine years of his life. Julie helped him to find the Lord and he was re-baptized in 2006.

There will be no visitation as the family has honored Tim's wishes to be cremated. A celebration of his life will be held at Sacred Heart Parish Center on Notre Dame's campus at 10:30am on Tuesday, April 23, with a luncheon to follow at the same location. The address is 104 Sacred Heart Parish Center, Notre Dame, IN 46556.
