ETHEL L. (ARTIST) HALL

June 19, 1919 - May 16, 2008
MISHAWAKA - Ethel L. Hall, 88, of Mishawaka, IN, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2008, in the Edward J. White Medical Center in Largo, FL. Ethel was born on June 19, 1919, in Winamac, IN, to Alva G. and Clara (Fritz) Artist, who both preceded her in death.

As the former Ethel Artist she married Harry Hall in South Bend, IN. Harry passed away in 1994.

Surviving Ethel are a sister, Irene Garrett of South Bend, IN; two nieces, Joyce (Edward) Kennedy of Santa Cruz, CA, and Sharon (Jerry) Kimble of San Jose, CA; six great-nieces and nephews; seven great-great-nieces and nephews.

Ethel graduated in 1937 from Washington-Clay High School. She held various positions as an executive secretary for the Studebaker Corporation, Mercedes Benz, and retired from the City of South Bend. After retirement Ethel would spend her winter months in a home in Largo, FL. She was an avid TV viewing sports fan. Ethel was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church of South Bend.

Visitation for Ethel will be Tuesday, May 20, 2008, from 4 to 7 p.m. in Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka, IN. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 21st, at noon in the funeral chapel, with Rev. Keith McFarren officiating. Committal service will be at the McKinley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Winamac, IN, at 2:30 p.m.
