LAWRENCE E. HARRIS

LAWRENCE E. HARRIS, 69, of Mentone, died Friday, April 15, 2005, at St. Joseph Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born Sept. 16, 1935, in South Bend, he was the son of Eugene A. and Margaret L. (Foote) Harris.

He was married Aug. 26, 1977, in Claypool, to Vera Railsback.

He lived in this general area most of his life, except for ten years, when he lived in Wisconsin. He was an Dairy Farmer. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Warsaw, the Eagles, Wabash and a 1954 graduate of South Bend Clay High School.

Survived by wife, Vera Harris of Mentone; three sons, Chuck (Karen) Harris of Markle, Dan (Dawn) Harris of Auburn and Keith (Janette) Harris of Warsaw; four stepsons, Joe (Mary) Railsback of Warsaw, Dick (Brenda) Railsback of Mentone, David (Teri) Railsback of Mentone and Jim (Penny) Railsback of Etna Green; 22 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Constance K. (Clete) Tosotlog of Hockessian, Del. and Margaret G. "Peg" (Dick) Libbey of Parker, Colo.

Service is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at King Memorial Home, Mentone. Memorials to the charity of the donors choice.
