ROBERT A. HUFFMAN

Robert A. Huffman July 3, 1992 - Feb. 25, 2014 SOUTH BEND - Robert A. Huffman, warm and loving grandson, son and brother, 21, of Fort Myers, FL, passed away in his home on February 25, 2014. Robert was born in South Bend on July 3, 1992.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Suzanne Brownstein, and his grandmother, Madelyne Huffman

Robert is survived by his grandparents, Robert Huffman of South Bend, and Carolyn (Emilio Soto) Brownstein of Miami, FL, along with Mary and Travis Stacy of South Bend. He is also survived by his father, Daniel (Candy) Huffman of South Bend along with his siblings, Daniel Huffman of Augusta, GA, Wayne Huffman of Granger, Justin Austin and Jennifer Stone both of South Bend. Robert is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins in his large extended family.

He is known to many, many others as a faithful and true friend, consistently a good and gentle spirit. Robert attended Clay High School where he was very active in the JROTC program. He was an accomplished guitarist and won several talent competitions. Following high school, Robert attended Golconda Job Corps, where he earned numerous certificates form Southeastern Illinois College. At the time of his passing he was employed by Pet Angel in Fort Myers, FL where he lived with his very special friend, Allison Gergely. His enthusiasm for life and sense of humor will be dearly missed by all whose lives Robert touched.

Private entombment will take place in Riverview Cemetery with Rev. John Gregory officiating. A Memorial gathering will take place this Spring for family and friends to meet and celebrate Robert's life. In lieu of flowers, please make all memorial contributions in Robert's name to the Logan Center for Autism.
