RONALD NORDBLAD

Ronald F. Nordblad Dec. 18, 1954 - Dec. 16, 2014 SOUTH BEND - Ronald F. Nordblad, 59, passed away at home on December 16, 2014. He was born in South Bend on December 18, 1954 to Fred E. and Mary L. (Lambrechts) Nordblad.

Ron was a 1973 graduate of Clay High School.

He was married to Irene H. Raymond for 13 years. He is survived by two children, Robert Nordblad and Rhonda (Jon) Walley; granddaughter, Savannah, whom he adored; mother, Mary L. Nordblad; brother, Tom Nordblad; sister, Lisa (Dan) Wilt; nieces and nephews, Michael, Leah, Danny and Laura; and his dog, Pee-Wee.

His father, Fred; beloved Grandma Beck; and dog, Swoop, preceded him in death.

Ron enjoyed vacationing in Florida, sitting on the beach listening to a ballgame on the radio with a cigar in his hand. He also liked going to the dog track and going to the Indy 500 with his son, Rob. He had a passion for sports, especially his favorite teams -- Notre Dame, Bears, Bulls and White Sox. He loved to cook and had many great recipes he would share with his family and friends. Per his request, cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
