Eugene D. LeBlang

SOUTH BEND Eugene D. LeBlang Sr., 43, of Douglas Road, died at 5:45 a.m. today in Memorial Hospital after an illness. Mr: LeBlang was: a franchise owner of four 7-Eleven stores in the Michiana area. He was born May 16, 1950, in Cincinnati, and lived in South Bend since 1965, coming from Cincinnati.

He is survived by a companion, Jane Burckhardt, with whom he made his home; a son, Eugene D. Jr. of South Bend; his parents. Bernard G. and Ruth LeBlang Sr. of South Bend; a sister, Mary Ford of South Bend; and six brothers, Richard of Austin, Texas, Bernard Jr. of North Liberty, Frank of Mishawaka, James of Hartford, Mark of South Bend and John of Dowagiac.

He was a volunteer for Muscular Dystrophy.

Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in McGann Funeral Home 2313 E. Edison Road, where a prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to any charity
