Tom J. Richey, 44, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away Monday, June 6, 2005, at Memorial Hospital of South Bend.

Tom was born on August 22, 1960, in South Bend, Indiana and was a lifelong resident. He graduate from Clay High school in 1978. Tom was the owner and manager of the Louvered Door Restaurant and had been in the family business for 33 years.

He is survived by his wife, Stephanie; his mother Julie, and step father, Bob Hevel of South Bend; two sisters, Jan (Roger) Meuleman of South Bend, Dee Leathers of Spokane, Washington; a brother, Ed (Pam) Richey of South Bend; and six nieces and nephews, Erica & Melissa Richey, Whitney & Matt Leathers, and Ashley & Jack Meuleman. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Richey, in 1991.

Tom was an outdoorsman, loved golfing, fishing, hunting, and working on his lawn and gardening. He was an avid Cubs fan and especially loved his dog, Hooie.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM, Thursday, June 9, 2005, at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana. Private services will be held.
