SHARON (RIFFEL) WINTER

FISHERS - Sharon A. (Riffel) Winter, 68, of Fishers, IN, passed away at 6:00 PM Friday, November 25, 2011, in her home surrounded by her family. She was born on January 9, 1943, to the late Raymond S. and Rosalind D. (Spitzer) Riffel in South Bend, IN.

Along with her parents, her husband, Fred Winter, and one brother, Fred Riffel, also preceded her in death.

Sharon was retired from Sears in Indianapolis, IN, after 25 years of employment. She graduated in 1961 from Clay High School in South Bend, IN.

She is survived by her three children, Scott (Liette) Shonborn of Noblesville, IN, Kent (Kelly) Shonborn of Fishers, IN, and Shelli (Rick) Jackson of Indianapolis, IN; seven grandchildren, Corey and Erin Shonborn, both of Noblesville, IN, Jacob and Katelyn Shonborn, both of Fishers, IN, Jordan, Ashley and Alyssa, all of Indianapolis, IN; her twin sister, Nancy (Barry) Jackson of Fishers, IN; two brothers, Edward (Connie) Riffel of Pismo Beach, CA, and Don (Mary Ann) Riffel of Mishawaka, IN.

She enjoyed many things in life, including friends/neighbors, gardening, shopping, crafts, golfing, bowling, boating, and was an avid Colts fan. A memorial visitation for family and friends will occur from 5-8 PM today, November 29, 2011, at Holy Spirit at Geist Catholic Church in Fishers, IN, with a memorial Mass to follow at 10:30 AM Wednesday, November 30, 2011, in the church. Her remains were cremated, and the burial will take place at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Logansport, IN, at a later date.
