PATRICK SELLERS OBITUARY

Patrick James Sellers Jan. 13, 1995 - Aug. 29, 2014 SOUTH BEND - Patrick James Sellers, 19, of South Bend, IN, died at 9:22 p.m. Friday, August 29, 2014 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN, as a result of an automobile accident. He was born on January 13, 1995 to Alan and Kathy Sellers in South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong resident.

Patrick graduated in 2013 from Clay High School, where he was active in wrestling, track, football, and baseball. Patrick had a passion for skateboarding. He enjoyed spending the whole day skateboarding at skate parks in South Bend, Elkhart, Warsaw, and Niles with his friends and fellow skateboard enthusiasts. Patrick was active in Boy Scouts from the time he started in grade school and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank in Scouting, in 2013. He recently enjoyed a Canadian fly-in fishing trip with his father, older brother and uncles.

Patrick loved spending time with his family and large group of friends. He always had a big smile on his face. Patrick was currently employed at Meijer in South Bend, IN, where he worked in the Receiving Department.

Patrick is survived by his parents, Alan and Kathy Sellers; two brothers, Andrew and Garrett Sellers, all of South Bend, IN; maternal grandfather, James Frankiewicz of Shelbyville, IN; paternal grandmother, Barbara Sellers-Burks of South Bend, IN; step-grandfather, Bruce Kapaun of South Bend, IN; step-grandmother, Connie Warnke of South Bend, IN; four aunts, Christina (Joe) Garman of Richmond, VA, Georganna (Richard) Geraghty of Elkhart, IN, Victoria (Greg) Martin-Smith of Shelbyville, IN and Erin (Drew) Snyder of South Bend, IN; eight first cousins, and his long-time sweetheart, Emily Pezan.

Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 5, 2014 at Apostolic Temple Church, 2221 S. Ironwood Drive, South Bend, IN, with Pastor Christopher Rowe officiating. Cremation will follow.
