SANDRA KAY (SMITH) SPEARS

Sandra Spears Jan. 12, 1957 - Apr. 18, 2014 SOUTH BEND - Sandra Kay Spears, 57, residing in South Bend, IN passed away at 11:45 AM Friday, April 18, 2014 at her home. Sandra was born on January 12, 1957 in Columbus, IN to the late David Charles Smith and Leona Marie (Garrett) Smith.

On October 21, 2013 she married Jim Spears, who survives.

Sandra graduated from Clay High School and was employed with St. Mary's College.

Along with her husband, Jim, Sandra is also survived by her daughter, Melissa "Missy" Buzas of South Bend; her son, Anthony "Tony" Buzas of Niles; two stepdaughters, Jennifer (Tucker) Hallstrom of Akron and Kelsey Dixon of South Bend; five grandchildren, Dakota, Haley, Hunter, Karley and Wyatt; her mother, Leona Smith of Granger; one sister, Mary Denise (Joseph) Wishin of South Bend; and her brother, Terry Ray (Cindi) Smith of South Bend.

A celebration of Sandra's life will be held at 6:00 PM Friday, April 25th, 2014 at Palmer Funeral Home-Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Rd, South Bend, IN. The family will receive friends from 4:00 - 7:00 PM Friday in the funeral home.
