John Steven White Jan. 2, 1968 - Sept. 27, 2014 SOUTH BEND - John Steven White, affectionately known as "Stevie," 46, of South Bend, Indiana, ended his earthly assignment on Saturday, September 27, 2014, at his home. Stevie was born in South Bend, Indiana, on January 2, 1968, to the union of James White and Della (Jago) White.

He attended Clay High School. Stevie had several occupations but his most favorite job was at Lebermuth as "The Chemist."

Stevie married his high school sweetheart, Juana Marie Murphy, on July 22, 1995. Stevie had many alias names such as "Big Money White", "Pretty Weive", "Big Unk", "Big John", and "PaPa". Some of Stevie's favorite quotes were "I'm the baby!" and "Ain't that right Hun".

Five things Stevie loved the most was his wife "Hun", his family, eating, cooking, and having a good time. Stevie never met a stranger. His great sense of humor, generosity, kindness, and his compassion for people would be greatly missed. Stevie had the ability to bring a smile to your face. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Steven leaves to forever cherish his memory his faithful wife, Juana; his sons, John Steven II (Jessica), Arman, Justin, Eric, and Rakeim, all of South Bend, Indiana, and Joseph from Florida; one daughter, Deborah (Jerome) of South Bend; five grandchildren: John Steven White III, Cy-Air, Emir, Armay'a and Jai-Zionna; his mother, Della White; his sisters: Karen Lorraine, Michelle Denise, and Yolanda Kay White, all of South Bend, Indiana; his brothers: James White Jr. (Vanessa), John Kenneth (Joyce), Dennis Edmonds of Florida, Michael Shawn, Aaron Bernard, Charles Taylor and Ernest Taylor; Mother-in-Law: Martha Williams; two brothers-in-law: William James and Orlando (Tiffany) Murphy; one sister-in-law: Jeanna Williams; father-in-law: William (Barbara) Murphy. He also leaves his best friend from Fort Wayne, Darrin (Yolanda) Crusoe and Mark Harris from Atlanta, Ga.; and host of relatives and friends who will sincerely miss him.

Family members who preceded him in death include his family, James White Jr.; a brother, Derrick E. White; two sisters, Ava Humphery and Joanna White; his maternal grandparents, John and Elise Jago; his fraternal grandparents, James and Rosie White; and uncle, John Jago; and two aunts, Lillian Mae Thomas and Velma Jordan.

Services for John S. White will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2014, at Pentecostal Cathedral COGIC, 1025 W. Western Ave., South Bend, Indiana.
