Alexander Buzas, Jr Obituary
ELKHART- Alexander “Shunny” Buzas, Jr., 68, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully Wednesday September 14, 2022, at Greenleaf Health Campus in Elkhart. He was born August 10, 1954, in South Bend, Indiana to Alexander & Ramona (Skodinski) Buzas, Sr.
Surviving are 2 children, Melissa “Missy” Buzas of South Bend, IN, Anthony “Tony” Buzas of Niles, MI: 5 grandchildren, Dakota, Haley, Hunter, Liam, Lumen: his mother, Ramona Buzas of Mishawaka, IN and 2 siblings, Donna (Tom) Popovic of North Liberty, IN, Paul (Lisa) Buzas of Puyallup, WA and his companion of 13 years, Debbie King of Elkhart. He was preceded in death by his father, 1 sister, Judy McMenemy, 1 brother, Richard Buzas, his brother-in-law, Ron McMenemy and his cat “George”.
Al worked at Utilimaster for many years, and he enjoyed bowling, fishing, gardening, and playing the slot machines at the local casinos. He also was an avid NASCAR fan, and his favorite driver was Jeff Burton; an avid Notre Dame fan and he built the first house he lived in. Al was a great handyman and he enjoyed surfing on his computer.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place. Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with his care. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
