Phyllis Baker, 25, of St. Joe, Ind., a former South Bend resident, died at 7:30 a.m. today in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, after four-month illness, Born on May 26, 1937, in Elkhart, she was married as Phyllis Clauser on Feb. 10, 1957, to Jerry Baker in South Bend.
She was a 1950 graduate of Washington Clay High School.
Surviving besides her husband, are two daughters, Cynthia Ann and Debra Lynne, and son, David Allen, all at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Clauser, Sr.. of St. Joe; a sister, Mrs. Larry Liechty, of Berne, Ind.; four brothers, Warren Jr. of Benton Harbor, Richard and James, both of South Bend, and Robert, who is serving with the U.S. Air Force in Germany,
After an autopsy today the body will be taken to the Baidinger & Walter Funeral Ind. Home, Spencerville
