In Memory
Constance Eva “Connie” Findley
July 10, 1937 ~ February 28, 2025 87 Years Old
Connie Eva Findley, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2025, in her hometown of South Bend, Indiana, born on July 10, 1937 to Elmer and Dorothy Findley, who preceded her in death, Connie's life was a testament to the joy and love she cultivated around her.
Connie's journey through life was marked by the close-knit relationships she maintained with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her dear sister and brother-in-law, Joan and William Hutchinson, her brother and sister-in-law, Don and Mary Jo Findley, her close friend Patricia Mann, and her brother-in-law Woody Oxley. Her surviving sister, Dianna Oxley, along with a host of nieces and nephews, will fondly remember Connie's quick wit, humor, and the special moments they shared.
During her life, Connie worked a variety of jobs. She was a proofreader in the publishing industry, a laborer in manufacturing, and a cafeteria worker. Connie's zest for life was evident in her personal interests. She liked to travel, especially to places that had a casino. Her love for adventure was paralleled by her enjoyment of simpler pleasures, such as playing online games and playing cards with family and friends. She was a skilled Euchre player. Connie's beloved dog, Bailey, was a constant companion, sharing in her everyday joys and comforts.
Above all Connie was a person who genuinely enjoyed being with her loved ones. She was a diligent worker, but she never lost sight of the importance of spending quality time with those she held dear. Her presence was a source of stability and happiness for many, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
