Linda Lee (Patterson) Woodhurst McCune, 88, a lifelong area resident passed away on Thursday July 18, 2024 at her home.
Linda was born on July 9, 1936 in Mishawaka to the late Joe Patterson and Nina (Thomas) Walters.
Linda graduated from Washington-Clay High School in 1955. On December 18, 1955 she married William Woodhurst who preceded her in 1978. Linda then married Earl “Bud” McCune on April 3, 1982, sharing 26 years of marriage before his passing in 2008.
Linda was a loving and caring mother. Her priority was her family, their well-being, and spending time together. She enjoyed family get-togethers, cooking for everyone, and laughing together. She was a fantastic cook and many of her recipes were well sought after. She also enjoyed gardening and being outside; watching the birds and seeing all the animals, many of which she took in herself. Linda enjoyed spending time at Yogi Bear Campground in Plymouth and having a CC&7.
Linda will be sorely missed by her children; Ann (Tom Nagy) Woodhurst, Susan Woodhurst(Anne Janszen), Patti Anderson, Debra (Jim) Forsythe, Lynn (Mike) Bingaman, and Timothy (Karen) Woodhurst. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren as well as her sister Carol Shaffer.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands; William Woodhurst and Bud McCune, sister Norma DiGirolamo, brother Thomas Patterson, and 2 grandchildren.
Linda will be laid to rest at a later date at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Linda’s name can be made to the Humane Society, Pet Refuge, or to the Center for Hospice.
