George Edward Hogan

George E. Hogan, 71, of St. Joseph's Care Center-Lombardy, South Bend, formerly of Mishawaka, died about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jun 22, 1988, in St. Joseph's Medical Center, South Bend, after an illness. Mr. Hogan retired 10 years ago as a driver with Ace Refrigerated Trucking Co. He was born Sept. 10, 1916, in South Bend.

On June 1, 1961, in South Bend, he married Margarette "Peggy" Saunter. She died Feb. 26, 1982. Surviving are two sons, Larry and Dennis, both of Van Nuys, Calif.

Hahn's DeVos Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hogan was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post 161 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 360, both in Mishawaka.
