SOUTH BEND - Services for Harold L. Pearson, 75, of 19441 Orchard St., who died about 7 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Congregational Church. Mr. Pearson retired after 55 years as a butcher.

He was born Oct. 7, 1914, in Blue Island, Ill., and had lived in South Bend most of his life.

On June 15, 1937, in South Bend, he married Marjorie B. Ferrel, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Diane Sumption of Cassopolis; a son, Robert H. of Niles; five grandchildren; five sisters, Shirley Russell of South Bend, Ardis Jones and Helen Lace, both of Niles, Leona Brunkhart of Granger, and Doris Weaver of Rockford, Ill.; and a brother, Gerald W. of Woodbridge, Va.

He was a member of the church and Mens Club and served as a deacon.
