SOUTH BEND - Kathy A. Blume, 60, lifelong South Bend resident, passed away at 7:45 am Sunday, September 4, 2016, in Memorial Hospital. She was born June 26, 1956, to the late Walter and Valda (Buck) Grounds.

Kathy worked as a loan officer for Teachers Credit Union.

Kathy is survived by her only son, Jason Matthew Blume of South Bend; and siblings, Dixie Rospopo of South Bend and Jim Grounds of Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Judy Lott and Sharon Oveson; as well as one brother, Randall “Bud” Grounds.

A celebration of Kathy's life will be planned by the family at a later date. Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel, and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family with arrangements.
