Henry Holloway - Class Of 1935 VIEW PROFILE

Henry J. Holloway Jr.

Henry J. Holloway Jr., Auten Road, owner of the Jewel Box, 119½ E. Jefferson Blvd., died 6:30 a.m. Sunday, Sep 20, 1953, in his residence after an illness of six days. He formerly associated with father, Henry J. Holloway Sr., Holloway's Jewelers in the Whitcomb-Keller Building. He was born in Baltimore, Md., Dec. 3, 1915, and came to South Bend 25 years ago from Marion, Ind.

He was married Oct. 30, 1948, in South Bend to Joy Whitmyre who survives. Also surviving are his parents Mr. and Mrs. Henry Holloway Sr., and two children, David and Barbara, both at home; a sister, Mrs. Alfred Peare, Niles, Mich.; and a brother, Arthur, of South Bend.

A veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Disabled American Veterans; the Portage Lodge 675, Free and Accepted Masons; and Knights Templar.
