Jessie L. (Cochran) Schille

Jessie L Schille, 93, residing on Riding Mall, South Bend, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2005, at 4:36 p.m. in Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center, South Bend.

Mrs. Schille was a language arts French teacher and retired from Clay High School following several years of service. She was born August 22, 1912, in Charleston, IL, to the late Frederick and Mary Catherine (Montacue) Cochran, and had lived in the South Bend area since 1943, coming from Charleston, IL. On December 31, 1940, in Rockford, IL, she married Carl A. Schille, who preceded her in death on May 7, 1980.

Their daughter, Linda Schille Seigneur, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include two daughters, Carol Schille of New York, NY, and Mary Lou (Richard) Rubin of New Orleans, Louisiana; a son-in-law, Alain Seigneur of Paris, France; six grandchildren, Aurzel LaParra of Chinon, France, Carolyn Rubin of Rome, Italy, David Rubin of New Orleans, LA, Rachael Sherman of Del Ray Beach, FL, Lara Schille Seigneur and Yann Schille Seigneur, both of Paris, France; and Jessie's closest friend, Anita Rentfrow of Edwardsburg, Ml
