Victor Boyd

May 5, 1973 - July 30, 2001

Mr. Victor Boyd, 28, loving husband, father, son, brother and uncle, of North Studebaker, entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 30, in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center. Victor was born to Helen Boyd and Jimmy Bailey on May 5, 1973, in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from Clay High School in 1992, where he played football and was an active member of the wrestling team, receiving many honors for his achievements. He attended Ivy Tech.

Victor married Stephanie Ziegart in 1992.

For a period of time Victor was a member of New Testament Missionary Baptist Church where he was a member of the Sunshine Band, Mass Choir, Youth Department and the Sunday School Superintendent, under t1 the leadership of Reverend Allen Gary.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Stephanie Ziegart-Boyd; a daughter, Shaque Monique Boyd; a son, Victor Boyd Jr.; mother, Helen Boyd, all of South Bend, Ind.; father, Jimmy Bailey of Cleveland; four sisters, Mary Helen (Jimmy) Gunn and Raynell (Tyree) Washington of Corinth, Miss., Iris Boyd and Beverly Boyd of South Bend; four brothers, Bobby (Denise) Boyd of Akron, Ohio, AI (Geraldine) Boyd, Moreland (Tarisha) Boyd and Jerome Boyd (Aleshia Blade), all of South Bend; five aunts, Shelby Boyd, Lillie Horton and Iris Boyd, all of Cleveland, Mary Staffert of Corinth and Inez Dickey of South Bend; two uncles, Frank and Mike Boyd, both of Cleveland; a special nephew, Vincent Peaks; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Eugene and Lillie Mae (Walker) Boyd; and by three uncles, Eugene, Lee and Adolph Boyd.

Funeral services for Mr. Boyd will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 3, in Alford's Mortuary, with visitation one hour before the service. Interment will be at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Gardens.
