Cynthia Marie Martin, a cherished spouse, mother, granny, great granny and friend was a beloved figure in her community. She passed away peacefully at the age of 70 in her home surrounded by her family in Mishawaka, Indiana on January 11, 2024.
Born on June 18, 1953, in South Bend, Indiana, Cynthia lived a life characterized by untiring service and an unfailing warmth that touched everyone she knew.
Cynthia is survived by her devoted husband, Lester Martin, Jr., and her loving children, Danielle (Gabriel) White and Melissa (Quinton) Rucker, her grandkids, Jason Johnson, Jr. "Boog," Antwain Johnson "TT," Keanna Rucker "Mommy," Latrell Johnson "Trelly,” Romeo and her great-grandson, Jason Johnson, III. Also mourning her loss, her sister, Michelle Gorby, Aunt Joan Krotchmal, Jim, Patty and Nicole Kertai, Dan and Carol Draper and the NJS crew, and all her caregivers from Southern Care Hospice team.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her son, Adam Stokes, her mother, Emily Singleton, her father, Eugene Dobrzykowski, her brother, Michael Dobrzykowski and her step-father, Richard Singleton.
Throughout her career as a caregiver in the healthcare industry, Cynthia's kindness and smile lit up the lives of countless individuals. Her tireless commitment to service and unspoken heroism enveloped her professional role and made her an unforgettable presence in her community.
Cynthia's legacy of love and nurturing will echo through the generations, leaving an indelible impression of a life well-lived and a woman well-loved.
Services will be held 1:00 p.m. with visitation following until 4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Christ Temple Apostolic Church, 2307 Elwood Ave, South Bend, IN 46628.
