Mary Jane Pierson, 63, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2023. Born on January 31, 1960, in South Bend, Indiana, Mary was the beloved daughter of the late John C. Pierson and Daisy H. (Amick) Pierson. She was a cherished sister to Nancy E. Pierson-Umezu and a respected sister-in-law to Mitsuhiro Umezu. Mary was a doting aunt to her nephews, Shimon and Aron Umezu, who will remember her fondly for her warm heart and generous spirit.
Mary's passion for creativity led her to pursue a bachelor’s degree in fine arts. Her artistic talents were not only evident in her personal life but also in her professional career. She served as a Night Auditor at Double Tree.
Keeping with Mary’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Her final resting place will be the Columbarium at First Presbyterian Church in South Bend.
