GRANGER — There will be no services or visitation for Leona Mae (Smith) Epler, 68, of 9236 S. Julia St., Claypool, formerly of Granger, who died at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, after an illness. Burial was in Springfield National Cemetery, Springfield, Mo. Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, handled arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Auxiliary Post 59. 301 N. Buffalo St., Warsaw, Ind. 46580. Mrs. Epler was born Dec. 24, 1924, in Goshen.
In 1947, as Blanche Middleton, she married Harold D. Smith. They were divorced. In 1976. she married Merle Epler. He died in November 198?. Surviving are a daughter, Janet Ballinger of Granger, and a grandson, Dennis Smith of Granger. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 49.
